Celebrating 30 years of dedication to CASA
Congratulations Lorraine for 30 years of dedication to CASA
Lorraine Wirth joined CASA in 1991 in an admin role. CASA was then funded for 2.5 staff and there were no computers!
Over the next 10 years, Lorraine juggled working full time with full time university study and as a single mum raising a young family.
In 2001, Lorraine became a Crisis and HomeStay Case Manager and then in 2010, she won the position as CASA Manager.
Lorraine is most proud that after all this time, CASA continues to be well respected in the local Mackay Community and has grown in to the diverse organisation that it is today.
A friend to many, Lorraine is known to always go above and beyond for the Mackay community. She is humble, kind and never seeks any special accolades for her work. We can all admire her dedication and commitment to reducing homelessness in Mackay.
Thank you to Mayor Greg Williamson, CASA Committee Members and close colleagues from many local organisations that came to celebrate this huge milestone today. Thanks also to Ocean International for a fabulous lunch and service and to Let's Just Face It Entertainment for the amazing decorations.
